I am studying for a post graduate qualification. Can I still apply?
Yes, you sure can. In fact, we can help you to achieve your post grad qualification with things like study leave, flexible working hours and, where appropriate, financial support.

Can I apply for a position if I am not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident?
Unfortunately no, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident to apply for this role.

I am in the process of applying for permanent residency status. Can I still apply for a role?
Yes. However, your permanent residency must be approved before the interview stage of the selection process. Please make a clear note of your current residency status in your application to us.

How many graduates does the OAG employ?
Traditionally we employ up to 8 graduates each year, however we’re certainly open to employing more – getting the right people at the right time matters to us, and we’re not about to let the right graduates pass us by!

I’ve already graduated – am I still eligible to apply?
You sure are. We accept all finance, accounting and commerce graduates, whether you’re about to graduate, or you’ve graduated in the last 3 years.

What training do you offer to graduates?
We conduct a professional development program that involves monthly Office sessions designed to build on your skills, keep you updated on industry developments and to enhance your working knowledge. You will be challenged, interested and inspired. For Financial Audit graduates we offer a 3 year program that will allow you to achieve qualified accountant status.

Does the OAG support post graduate study?
Absolutely! Our office is extremely supportive of any study that will help to enhance your skills and knowledge relevant to our work. Your career progression and personal development matters to us and we have a number of support mechanisms in place to assist you in achieving your goals. This includes financial assistance, study leave and flexible working arrangements.

What is the social-side of the OAG like?
It’s great! We have a social committee that organises a number of events over the year, including lunches, social sporting events, fundraising events, mid-year and end-of-year celebrations. We also have a wellness committee that introduces initiatives aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of our employees. This includes recreational, educational and community based events like wildflower walks in Kings Park and fun and informative nutrition seminars for the whole Office. In addition to all this, we also have an office-wide morning tea 4 times a year, which allows all our people to get together, catch-up and to share OAG news.

Once you have submitted your application you should receive an automated acknowledgement email within 24 hours (Monday to Friday). If you are successful in getting an interview we will contact you to let you know of your success and to give you all the details for your interview.
